Jiminy Peak Fall Festival Columbus Day Weekend

HANCOCK, Massachusetts — The Annual Jiminy Peak Fall Festival will take place on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday October 6, 7 and 8, 2007. The Fall Festival features a craft fair, the Hancock Fire Department ski and snowboard sale, an outdoor barbeque and job fair. Mountain Sports by Potter Brother’s will have sales on apparel and equipment throughout the weekend. The Just Jiminy logo store will also be open throughout the weekend. Turbine tours will be offered (reservations are required) and Mountain Adventure Park will also be open.

The annual Fall Festival craft fair will be held in Crane Lodge from 9 am – 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday from 9 am – 2 pm. The craft fair will feature local artists, holiday items, antique dealers, hand made candles and much more. Over 25 vendors will be in attendance.

The season ticket office will be open during the Craft Fair to take photos for 2007/2008 season passes.

The annual Hancock Fire Department Ski and Snowboard Sale will be in the Burbank Center located in the Lower Courtyard of Village Center on Saturday and Sunday 9 am – 5 pm, and on Monday 9 am – 2 pm. If you would like to sell items in the sale, drop off times are Friday evening 7 pm – 9 pm and Saturday morning 8:30 am – 12 pm. Mountain Sports by Potter Brother’s will be open all weekend with great sales on apparel and equipment. The Mountain Sports shop will be open on Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, and Monday 10 am – 2 pm.

The job fair will be held from 10 am – 2 pm Saturday and Sunday in Crane Lodge. Jiminy is now hiring winter seasonal positions for the upcoming year as well as full time year around positions.

Mountain Adventure Park, featuring the the Alpine Super Slide, Mountain Coaster, Euro Bungy trampoline, Climbing Wall and more, will be open from 11 am – 6 pm all weekend, weather permitting. The Berkshire Express Scenic Ride will be open from 12 pm – 5 pm. An outdoor barbeque will be held at JJ’s Courtyard from 11 am to 2 pm each day (weather permitting). Additional food choices will be available at Christiansen’s Tavern and John Harvard’s Restaurant and Brewery. Turbine tours will be offered throughout Columbus Day weekend. The tours are 90 minutes long and depart at 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm and cost $8.50 per person. Tours group sizes are limited and reservations are required.
