Live Bands, Rousing Competition at Mount Snow For Reggaefest Weekend

WEST DOVER, Vermont — The annual Bud Light ReggaeFest, featuring live bands all weekend and two crowd-pleasing events, is coming to Mount Snow March 27 ??“ 29.

Five bands will be performing at two different locations all weekend.
Friday, March 27

“Giant Panda” 9:30 p.m. ??“ 1 a.m. at the Snow Barn, $10 cover
Saturday, March 28

“Dread Rocks” noon ??“ 4 p.m. at Cuzzin’s, free show
“See I” 10 ??“ 11:15 p.m. at the Snow Barn, $10 cover (includes Pressure Cooker show)
Pressure Cooker 11:45 p.m. ??“ 1:15 a.m. at the Snow Barn
Sunday, March 29
“Trumystic” noon ??“ 4 p.m. at Cuzzin’s, free show

The Sink or Skim pond skimming competition, a notoriously crowd-pleasing event that dares costumed skiers and riders to skim across a 150-foot manmade pond, will start Saturday at noon. It is free and open to the public, with registration for competitors taking place in the Main Base Lodge 10 ??“ 11:30 a.m., day-of. Among those who successfully make it across the pond, one will be chosen by judges as the overall winner of a 2009/2010 season pass.

Sunday afternoon is the second annual Duct Tape Derby. Open to the public, the Derby requires entrants to race against the clock in a sled built solely of cardboard, zip ties, duct tape and paint.
