Loon Mountain Provides Full Line-up of Special Events this Summer
LINCOLN, New Hampshire — Loon Mountain hosts unique special events, entertainment and fun for all summer enthusiasts.
June 15 – 17 – Special Sneak Peek Weekend
Loon Mountain opens one weekend early to offer guests a sneak peek of summer fun that’s to come. The Gondola Skyride, Summit Caf?В©, glacial caves, and the summit playground will all be open.
June 16 – Mini’s On Top
Mini Cooper owners will gather at Loon to raise money for Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter/rehabilitation center in Boston. The Local Linwood senior high school class has been invited to do a fundraising car wash.
June 23 – Open daily for full summer operations
Daily operations begin, including the Adventure Center activities. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
June 30 – Hot Dog Festival
If you like hot dogs, you don’t want to miss the Hot Dog Festival at Loon. Wrist bands are available for $10 and include unlimited hot dogs, soft drinks, and an official Hot Dog Fest t-shirt. The Station plays live music from noon – 4 p.m. in the Octagon Lodge.
July 8 – XTERRA Trail Run – New England
Race 6.2 miles to the summit of Loon. Part of the XTERRA Trail Run New England Series and U.S. Track and Field Trail Running New England Running Circuit. For more information or to register, visit www.whitemountainmilers.com.
August 4 – Ice Cream Festival
Free ice cream, games and entertainment. For those who have a sweet tooth for ice cream, this is an event not to miss! Lovewhip plays live music from noon – 4 p.m. in the Octagon Lodge.
September 1 – 2 – Labor Day Weekend Family Fest
Live entertainment and fun for all! Don’t forget to check out the Adventure Center and take a ride up the Gondola Skyride.
September 20 – 22 – 32nd Annual New Hampshire Highland Games
Loon Mountain will once again host the largest Scottish Festival in the Northeast with the 32nd Annual New Hampshire Highland Games. For a full list of entertainers and events, visit www.nhscot.org.
October 6 – 7 – Oktoberfest
Celebrate the arrival of autumn and the traditions of the world-famous festival at Loon Mountain. The weekend will feature a live oompah band, traditional German fare and hearty beer.
