Loon Wraps Up ‘King Of Spring’ Events with Slush Pool Party & Easter Celebration

LINCOLN, New Hampshire — Loon Mountain gives a warm welcome to spring and challenges guests to skim across a chilling pool of water during the annual Slush Pool Party on Saturday, April 7. This annual passage into spring provides outrageous fun for spectators and competitors.

Registration for the Slush Pool Party will take place in the Bunyan Room from 9 ??“ 10:30 a.m. and is open to the first 75 contestants, 10 years and older. The thrills and spills will entertain everyone on the bottom of the 7-Brothers Trail, outside of the Octagon Base Area, beginning at noon. No poles are allowed during the pond skimming and tropical-themed outerwear is encouraged to add flavor to the celebration. Following the final splash into spring, an apr??s party will take place in the Bunyan Room and feature a hot wing eating contest, presented by Hooters.

On Sunday, April 8, a Sunrise Service and Easter Egg Hunt will round out the weekend activities. In celebration of Easter, Skip Schwartz, Loon’s Skiing Reverend, leads a sunrise service at the top of the Mountain. The Gondola will load passengers from 5:30 ??“ 6 a.m. and the half hour service will begin at 6:15 a.m. Following the service, refreshments will be served at the Summit Caf?В© and guests can download on the Gondola or join Ski Patrol for first tracks down Bear Claw. In further celebration of the holiday, the Easter Bunny will be visiting with children throughout the morning and an Easter Egg hunt will start at 9 a.m. on Lower Bear Claw, for those 7 and older, and outside the Octagon Base Lodge, for those 6 and under.
