LSC Daggers Host Rail Jam at Burke Mountain

EAST BURKE, Vermont — The Lyndon State College Daggers Snowboard Club hosts the 3rd annual Burke Mountain Rail Jam on Sunday, March 4 at 1:00 PM. Competition takes place in the Open Slope Terrain Park, in the Mid-Burke area. Judged on creativity, execution and style, skiers and riders string together a series of tricks on a course packed with rails, boxes, and other innovative contraptions.

Originally designed to provide Dagger members an opportunity to learn and showcase fresh tricks, the event has progressed to an open style competition drawing some of the best freestylists in the Northeast. Age groups are 17 and under and 18 and over. Broadcast live on FM 92.1 and 99.3 WMOO, the event will have prizes including season passes at Burke Mountain, and ski and snowboard equipment from 802 Snow & Skate, Rome Snowboards and Eesa Clothing. Registration begins at 9:00 AM on Sunday at the Mid-Burke Lodge, with a $15 entry fee. Helmets are required for all participants.
