March Madness Hits Cranmore with the Sun ‘n Snow Fest

NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire ??” Cranmore Mountain is enjoying some of the best March conditions in years. To celebrate the arrival of spring, Cranmore is making a party of it’s final weekend of the season with “Sun n’ Snow Fest,” March 26-27.

Spring gets into full swing on Saturday, March 26, with the Mountain Dew Spring Splash. This annual event features the highly-anticipated pond skimming competition where skiers and riders try to make their way across a pool of Mountain Dew – yes, the lemon/lime soft drink choice of young, active outdoor enthusiasts. Live music, a hot tub party and zany games such as tic tac toe on snow, and a pi?В±ata bash will also accompany the festivities. At day’s end, the final apr??s ski party of the season will rip at Zip’s Pub. This will be the last chance to win a new pair of Slalom skis and a $200 travel gift certificate from Southwest Airlines. There is no fee to enter but for for eligibility entrants must be at least 18 and present to win.

The season wraps up on Sunday, March 27, with the Snickers Easter Egg Hunt. There will be plenty of prizes including plastic eggs with candy and coins inside. Also, one lucky participant will win a 2005-2006 Happy Trails Season Pass. The hunt begins at 11 a.m.
