Dover, Vt. (July 31, 2013) – Mount Snow Resort in southern Vermont is pleased to announce that Mike Chase has been hired as the resort’s first Director of Marketing Technology, a newly created position that will oversee both the information technology and marketing departments with the goal of integrating the two in an effort to take advantage of ever-evolving, technology based marketing opportunities. Most recently, Mike was the Director of Information Technology at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah and before that he directed the IT departments at Oasis Management Resources and KSL Recreation.

The creation of this new position is something that has been on the mind of Mount Snow’s General Manager, Kelly Pawlak, for some time as she has watched the marketing landscape progress from a more traditional media focus to a more digital media focus. The challenge was finding someone with the experience and background to fill that role, and Chase fit the bill.

“We want to be savvy and take advantage of new opportunities, and based on Mike’s track record of success within the ski and hospitality industries we are confident that he is the one to help get us to where we want to be,” said Pawlak. “Mike will be responsible for assuring that technology is being used in the most effective manner possible and that it offers a competitive marketing advantage.”

Chase will start his new position in mid-August. He will be moving from Utah to the Mount Snow area with his wife and two children.
