Mount Washington Resort Gives Thanks for Very Strong Thanksgiving Weekend
BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire — Mount Washington Resort enjoyed a super Thanksgiving and weekend compared to years past. According to Chris Ellms, Mount Washington Resort’s Director of Ski Operations, Bretton Woods is up 22% over last year. “We’re thrilled, of course, but not completely surprised. We’ve got snow — we did last year as well, but so did more of the other ski areas. The skiing has been just terrific, and we’re looking forward to the approaching holidays with optimism.” Bretton Woods has been opening new terrain almost every day, and skiing and riding is currently on 26 trails with more terrain opening as snowmaking and Mother Nature permit.
This weekend also marked the inaugural runs through the new Bretton Woods Canopy Tour, which is now open and accepting reservations for Saturday, December 6th. Space is limited, and booking well in advance is advised. Bretton Woods Nordic Center also opened for the season and has 12 km open for cross-country and skate skiers, along with the snow tubing hill.
The Mount Washington Hotel hosted a record number of Thanksgiving celebrants, as well, with the numbers of Thanksgiving feasters nearly doubling from last year. According to Matt Massei, Mount Washington Resort’s General Manager, “We had families with children who took advantage of the whole package —- great snow and skiing at Bretton Woods, a lot of family activities across the Resort all weekend, including our annual Thanksgiving buffet feast at The Hotel and Homecoming Weekend at Bretton Woods.”
The Mount Washington Hotel also has an array of great holiday packages, including party packages for groups individually or as part of the Grand Holiday Party, where small groups of varying sizes can come together to celebrate, from families to groups of colleagues or friends. The Grand Holiday Party is on Saturday, December 13th, and includes fine cuisine and live entertainment for $50 per person.
Bretton Woods is open daily for the skiing and riding season.
