Mountain Biking at Whiteface Features Season Ending Deals
WILMINGTON, New York — The New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) has announced that the Whiteface Mountain Downhill Park, operated by High Peaks Cyclery, has two more weekends of trail riding at Whiteface. Value-added ???specials??? will also be offered.
For Columbus Day weekend, riding is available Friday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 8. The First Annual Treasure Hunt is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6-7. All riders purchasing a lift ticket will receive a sheet containing clues leading to over $1,000 worth of awesome prizes hidden throughout the mountain. Saturday, Oct. 6 is also the last Ladies Day of the season. All women riders will receive a free trail pass, a $32 value. For all other riders, adults and juniors alike, tickers are just $16 per person.
The last weekend of the mountain biking season is Oct. 12-14. This bonus weekend features Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 13, where all adult lift tickets are just $25 per rider.
High Peaks Cyclery is also selling their rental bikes and protective equipment at ready-to-move prices.
The Whiteface Mountain Downhill Park is open from 10 am ??“ 4 pm. Daily lift tickets are $32 for adults, $20 for juniors (12 and under). Two-day passes may be purchased. Rental bikes and equipment are available. Helmets are required. The High Peaks Adventure Bus and the Cloudsplitter gondola will be running from 10 am ??“ 4 pm to move riders up the mountain.
Sightseers may also take the Cloudsplitter gondola for a scenic ride to the top of Little Whiteface Oct. 5-8 and Oct. 12-14. The scenic gondola ride runs from 10 am ??“ 4:30 pm.
