National Search for Top Amateur Skiers and Boarders Comes to Killington
KILLINGTON, Vermont — The search is on for the best amateur skiers and boarders as the Gatorade Free Flow Tour brings its “Flow to Pro” competition to Vermont’s Killington Resort January 23-24.
Killington is one of 10 tour stops this season featuring halfpipe and slopestyle competition and providing amateur skiers and riders 21 and younger a chance to showcase their skills. Winners from each tour stop will be invited to the Free Flow finals at Mount Snow, where they’ll compete for an opportunity to participate against the pros in next year’s 2011 Winter Dew Tour.
Registration is open now for competitors who want to challenge the Beast of the East’s Dream Maker Terrain Park and 430-foot long Superpipe with 18-foot walls. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged at www.gatoradefreeflowtour.com. Each day of competition has a $20 registration fee, which does not include lift tickets. Registrants under age 13 can register to compete in the Junior Jam division of the tour.
