Newly Expanded Sunday River Sports Hosts the Return of Demo Days Over Thanksgiving Weekend
NEWRY, Maine ??” Sunday River is making it easy for guests to try before they buy on Thanksgiving Weekend, Nov. 26 and 27 with their annual Demo Days. Event participants can sample this season’s latest gear from top manufacturers while getting insight from industry representatives for an all-day flat fee of $5.
“Folks who wait until sale season have less selection to draw from,” said Greg Luetje of Sunday River Sports. “The Demo Days are a great way to make an informed decision before specific skis and board models start selling out.”
The event typically attracts over 20 manufacturers. This year’s list includes Atomic, Salomon, Rossignol, Nordica, K2, Volkl and many more. A credit card is required for deposit along with the $5 all-day fee.
Sunday River Sports, which administers the resort’s season-long demo program, has been expanded and now has 30% more floor space allowing for a greater selection of hardgoods, softgoods and Sunday River logo wear. Any day of the season guests can try out various skis or boards and have the in-season $50 demo fee applied to their ski or board purchase.
Sunday Sessions, the resort’s snowboard specific shop, has also grown by 30 percent and has expanded their selection of women’s specific clothing to include popular brand Roxy.
The Bud Light Concert Series kicks off the same weekend with the Gin Blossoms taking the stage upstairs in the White Cap Lodge on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 26.
