NORBA Returns to Mount Snow Resort for the 18th Year

MOUNT SNOW, Vermont ??” Mount Snow is proud to welcome the return of the NORBA National Mountain Biking Series (NMBS) for the 18th time June 15-18. In past years, upwards of 40,000 people have gathered to both race and enjoy a festive atmosphere that only Mount Snow can create.

The event will host a variety of different competitions that include the Fox Racing Shox Downhill, Kenda Cross-Country, Fox Racing Shox Dual Slalom, Sigma Sport Short Track and Super D events. Additionally, the overall event is a virtual playground for mountain biking enthusiasts that will feature exposition areas, product demonstrations, outdoor barbeques and live entertainment.

This year’s event will be UCI sanctioned, which means that the event will receive prize money from the USA Cycling organization. This series will also help determine the members of the US National Team that will compete in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Aside from hosting top pros the Mount Snow Resort stop on the NORBA series will give amateurs the chance to compete on a world-class stage alongside the best athletes in the field.

The NORBA National Mountain Bike Series is North America’s premier off-road cycling series. The series crowns USA Cycling’s Mountain Bike Champions. USA Cycling is the national governing body for cycle sports.
