Okemo Celebrates Easter with Bonnets and Egg Hunt
LUDLOW, Vermont — On Easter Sunday, April 8, Okemo Mountain Resort will celebrate the springtime holiday with family activities featuring an Easter Bonnet Contest and on-mountain Egg Hunt. Some lucky bunny who finds a golden egg in the Easter Egg Hunt will be going home with a new pair of Atomic skis or an Atomic snowboard.
Okemo has made special arrangements with the Easter Bunny to have him hide hundreds of colorful, candy-filled eggs along a designated trail on Easter morning. When the trail is opened, skiing and snowboarding children will have an opportunity to hunt for the eggs. They should be on the lookout for a single golden egg hidden among the multi-colored ones. The person who finds the golden egg will win their choice of a new Atomic Snowboard or pair of skis.
An Okemo tradition nearly as old as the ski area itself, the resort’s annual Easter Bonnet Contest is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in the Sitting Bull Lounge. Contestants will display their millinery masterpieces for a chance to win fabulous prizes in one of four categories: best ski-related bonnet, best child’s bonnet, zaniest bonnet and best employee bonnet.
