ORDA Announces Unlimited Olympic Site Access Pass
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority’s (ORDA) Olympic venues are ready to re-open for the busy summer season, offering guests a full slate of family fun and activities with a new option for locals and frequent visitors.
The Gold Pass will offer unlimited access to the Olympic sites for just $79. Available at Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y. or online at www.whitefacelakeplacid.com, the Gold Pass allows guests to visit ORDA’s venues multiple times for one low price.
“Over the years, many people, especially locals, have been asking for a way to ‘re-enter’ ORDA’s venues to bring visiting friends and family to events and activities without having to pay for themselves every time. We wanted to create something that made it easy and convenient for locals to get access to our venues and as many times as they want,” said ORDA president/CEO Ted Blazer. “The Gold Pass makes perfect sense, since we believe that our local community is one of the greatest ambassadors for the Olympic Region.
The Gold Pass includes unlimited admission to the Olympic Jumping Complex, including the Summer Jumping Series; the Olympic Sports Complex, Olympic Museum, Veterans’ Memorial Highway and the Whiteface Mountain Cloudsplitter gondola rides.
It can also be used for admission to Oktoberfest, the Flaming Leaves Festival, Saturday Night ice shows, selected events and 20-percent off the Lake Placid Bobsled Experience and Skeleton Experience.
The Gold Pass will complement the long-time visitor favorite, Olympic Sites Passport. Throughout the year, ORDA offers guests and locals the opportunity to see and experience the Olympic venues from both the 1932 and 1980 winter Games, for one low price with the purchase of the Olympic Sites Passport. The Passport, on sale for $32, gives one-time admission to all the Olympic venues plus discounts on the Lake Placid Bobsled Experience, Be a Biathlete, as well as event tickets and shows. Guests could save over $40 with the Olympic Sites Passport if visiting all venues and participating in the activities just once. With the Gold Pass, and unlimited access, the savings are limitless.
