Over Four Feet of Snow Since February 1 at Loon Mountain, NH

LINCOLN, New Hampshire — New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain has received an incredible 54 inches of snow since the beginning of February, giving winter vacationers plenty of reasons to get excited about the President’s Holiday Week.

Over 13 feet of snow have fallen on Loon so far this season, and the resort begins the holiday period with 97 percent of trails open, including its newest terrain on South Peak, which opened in December.

The Loon Mountain Adventure Center is open extended hours next week, offering snow tubing, ice skating, 20 km of cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and a guided snowshoe tours and an indoor rock climbing wall.

Loon’s close proximity to Boston and Manchester, and variety of terrain make Loon a popular destination for families and winter vacationers.

For those who like to ride the terrain parks, Loon will light up its Little Sister Terrain Park Thursday-Saturday nights, February 21-23, with a special $15 lift ticket. The resort will host the Red Bull One-Hit-Wonder competition in the terrain park on Friday, February 22.
