Pats Peak Annual Octoberfest and Ski / Snowboard Sale Scheduled for November 4th

New & Used Equipment, Octoberfest Celebration and Last Chance Season Pass Discount

Henniker, NH, October 15, 2012 – Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier snowsports destination, announces its 10th annual Octoberfest celebration in conjunction with the 42nd annual Pats Peak Ski Club Ski and Snowboard Sale on Sunday, November 4, 2012. The Octoberfest celebration is from 11am to 6pm with the Ski and Snowboard Sale from 11am to 3pm. It’s one of the biggest Octoberfest celebrations in the State of New Hampshire, which includes authentic German food, live music from King Ludwig’s Bavarian Band, chairlift rides, kids’ activities, woodsmen show, timberart chainsaw sculpture show, NH Cowboy Mounted Shooting Demo, NESJA Ski Joring along with festive decorations to put guests in the spirit. Harpoon Brewery sponsors the event. Other sponsors include Dalbello Skiboots, Elan Skis, MB Tractor & Equipment and Henniker Farm and Country Store. Admission is free to this event.

Kids’ Activities will take place in “Bear-Varia” including Spin Art, Pumpkin People, “Doughnut Dangle”, Keg Bowling, Bounce House, Face Painting Clown and more from 11am to 3pm. The Woodsmen Show includes Ax Throwing, Wood Chopping, Saw Cutting and more from 11am to 3pm. The Henniker Farm and Country Store NESJA Ski Joring and Mounted Shooting Demo is from 12pm to 3pm. The Finish Line Ski & Board Shop will have an outside tent sale with deals up to 50% off! Special pricing will be available on service work in the Repair Shop, drop off the skis or board and get them ready before the season begins.

“This is the place to be to celebrate fall and get excited for ski season by getting new equipment for the season and taking a ride up the chairlift to the top of the mountain,” says Jim Wall, Pats Peak Events Director. “Even if you don’t ski, it’s a great opportunity to take in the gorgeous views and be part of a fun event.”

The annual Ski and Snowboard Sale is an opportunity to buy and sell new and used ski and snowboard equipment with a portion of the benefits going to the Pats Peak Ski Club, a non-profit organization benefiting junior alpine racers. Drop off times for equipment to sell are from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 5th and again on Sunday, November 6th from 7am to 9am. The sale hours on Sunday are 11am to 3pm.

Sunday, November 4, 2012 is the last day to purchase Pats Peak Season Passes for up to a $40 discount. After the event, the price for an Adult Unlimited Season Pass goes to $499 from $469, and the price of a Junior Unlimited Season Pass goes to $419 from $379. Other season pass options are available.
