Pats Peak Hosts Intermountain Challenge ski Race Between Pats Peak and Gunstock
HENNIKER, New Hampshire ??” Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier family snowsports destination, will host an Intermountain Challenge ski race between Pats Peak and Gunstock Adult/Corporate Racing Programs on Friday, March 17, 2006. This race starts at 7pm on FIS Race Trail. This is an invitational race between the top 50 racers from each resort’s Adult/Corporate Racing Programs. It will be a Dual GS course with a NASTAR team format. Medal points will be awarded to individuals and medal points will go towards their team score. The winning mountain will have bragging rights as the top Adult/Corporate Race League. An Apr??s-Ski Awards Party will follow the race in the Sled Pub. The Intermountain Challenge is sponsored by Capital Distributors and S&W Sports.

Races are scheduled Monday through Thursday starting the first week in January and run for nine consecutive weeks. The program includes a lift ticket from 3pm until closing on race nights, prizes, apr??s-ski party each night and an awards dinner at the end of the series. This race series competes in the NASTAR dual GS format. Teams consist of five to seven skiers or snowboarders at least 21 years of age and older. The top five best times for each night are calculated. Individual and team rankings are based on a points system to determine finishes. Prizes are awarded to individual men, women, and teams, both weekly and cumulatively.
