Pats Peak Opens for 2014/15 Ski Season on November 22nd
Henniker, NH, November 20, 2014 – PATS PEAK, New Hampshire’s premier family snowsports destination, is opening for the 14/15 season on Saturday, November 22, with six trails including Duster, Squall Line, Bluster, Gusty, Valley Slope and Whisper. The Duster run will be top to bottom feeding into the lower part of Squall Line. There will be a mini-terrain park set up on the Gusty trail. Pats Peak is opening two weeks earlier than anticipated thanks to the colder temperatures and the dedication of their snowmakers.
For the weekend, there will be three lifts running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lift ticket rates for Saturday are $30 for adults and $25 for juniors/seniors.
The Pats Peak snowmaking team will continue to make snow at every opportunity to open additional terrain as soon as possible.
The Rental Shop, Cafeteria, Sled Pub, Ski & Board Shop, Snowsports School and Skier Services will be open. For the latest updates on hours of operation and open terrain, visit www.patspeak.com or call the 24-Hour Snowphone at 1-888-PATS PEAK.
Pats Peak continually focuses to improve its facility and experience for their skiers and snowboarders. Improvements for the 2014/2015 season include two new trails and one new glade as part of the Cascade Basin expansion. Cascade Basin is a new area on the “backside” of the main mountain. It was opened for skiing/riding on December 19, 2013 with four trails, one glade and a triple chair lift. In addition to the new terrain, capital improvements include (7) additional SMI Snowmaking Fan Guns; (20) additional energy-efficient HKD Snowmaking Guns; new rental equipment; new Snowsports School, Race, Park Crew and Fun Squad uniforms; and new carpeting for fresh tracks in the Rental Shop. For a complete listing of all the capital improvements, visit www.patspeak.com.
Please note: Lifts will not operate Monday-Thursday, Nov. 24-27 and plan to reopen on Friday, Nov. 28.
