Pond Skimming & Adirondack Luau at Gore Mountain April 10
NORTH CREEK, New York ??” Gore Mountain’s annual Pond Skimming Contest will provide plenty of laughs on Sunday, April 10, when participants will ski or snowboard down a base area trail into “Bullfrog Bog,” a manmade pool of water. This snow-ski to water-ski event awards the goofy and creative, with four judges critiquing participants. All types of spring costumes will be welcomed.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall Performance, Pond King & Queen, Pond Prince & Princess, and Pond Frog & Frogette. Pond Skimming will begin at 11am, with registration at the Information Desk from 9am-10:45am. The entry fee is $5.
Weather permitting, the deck will be alive with spring entertainment, including a remote from WPYX 10:30am-12:30pm, music and limbo from Chip Chevalier 2pm-5pm, drink specials, tiki torches, and barbeque.
Guests are invited to see the spring decor of the Adirondack Express and Northwoods Gondola, which will be festively adorned.

2005/2006 Gore/Whiteface season passes are on sale. Even with several recent improvements, pass rates will remain the same as last season.
