CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine — With 127 inches of snow so far this season, including 51 inches in January alone, Sugarloaf is getting ready for one of its best February Vacation weeks in recent history, Feb 16-20. The week will feature top notch skiing and riding on the hill and non stop family friendly entertainment off the slopes as well, all with prices and packages to make the week more affordable for families than ever before.

Families will find great and affordable entertainment throughout the week, including Festival Night, a digital slide show from the Ski Museum of Maine, a family movie night and performance by T-Bone, America’s Musical Pied Piper, and comedy from Maine’s own Bob Marley. Families will also enjoy fun activities all week long at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, all of which are included in the price of their alpine lift ticket.

Maine’s own Bob Marley will have guests in stitches when he performs at the Shipyard Brewhaus on Thursday Feb. 19. Marley will perform three shows of his unique Maine humor at 6pm, 8pm, and 9:45pm. Tickets are on sale now for $20 at 1-800-THE-LOAF, and are sure to go fast.

On Feb 17, Festival Night will start with a fireworks display and torchlight parade before the action moves inside to the King Pine Room. Activities will include carnival games, giant inflatable bounce houses, and face painting, plus live entertainment by Maine Yo-Yo Champion Brandon Baines, Mad Science Demonstrations, a Chinese Auction, and the Magic of Conjuring Carroll. Tickets are available for just $5 in advance, or $7 at the door.

The Ski Museum of Maine will provide families with history of skiing in Maine on Feb 18, with a digital slide show called “Schuss-Boom and Schuss-Bust: Fast Paced Growth and Face Plants 1945-Present.” The slideshow will be at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center at 7pm, and admission is free.

Families can enjoy tubing on the Birches on Thursday, Feb 19, as well as live entertainment by “T-Bone,” America’s Musical Pied Piper, at 7pm in the King Pine Room. Tom Stankus, aka T-Bone, has travelled the country entertaining children and families since 1978, and will have children and adults alike dancing and singing in the aisles. Tickets are available for just $5 in advance, or just $7 at the door.

In addition to the special live entertainment, families can enjoy the great outdoors at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center with cross country skiing, ice skating, and snow shoeing, including a “Shoe & Stew” snowshoe tour with lunch on Wednesday Feb.18 at 11:30am. Sugarloaf’s Alpine Exchange Program means that a family’s alpine lift tickets grant them access to the Outdoor Center as well, including complimentary equipment rentals and ice rink fees.

Ski and stay packages for the week are available now for as little as $89 per person per night, and include lodging, lift ticket, free adult Perfect Turn Clinic, and access to the Sugarloaf Sports and Fitness Center.
