PSIA-AASI Extends Partnership with Duofold by Champion through 2016
February 14, 2012 – Lakewood, Colo. – Duofold by Champion has extended its partnership with the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) through 2016.
Serving as the official base layer of PSIA-AASI, Duofold by Champion is one of the association’s longest running Official Suppliers, first forming the partnership in 1990. Each year the company provides performance base layers for the PSIA-AASI Teams. Its innovative fabric and garment technology provides protection against the elements in all types of weather and activities.
In 2011 Duofold announced that it would join Champion clothing to partner in the base layer category under the new name Duofold by Champion; both brands are owned by apparel company Hanesbrands Inc.
“We are proud to be a partner to PSIA-AASI and look forward to building on our 22 years of success and growth with the association,” said Ben Muller, Duofold by Champion Marketing Manager. “As a base layer brand we know that snowsports participants are frequent users of our products and we strive to make instructors’ time on the mountain more comfortable by providing the best quality base layers available.”
Duofold by Champion recently conducted a survey to the more than 31,500 members of PSIA-AASI about their preferences in base layers to better understand snowsports instructors’ and enthusiasts’ needs. Feedback from the survey will be incorporated into product development and future marketing efforts.
“Duofold by Champion has demonstrated a strong commitment to our association and the snowsports industry; we’re very happy to extend our partnership with them,” said PSIA-AASI Marketing Director Andy Hawk. “Their products and company values serve the needs of our members well and we’re excited to continue to make Duofold products available to PSIA-AASI instructors.”
