HIGHMOUNT, New York ??” Belleayre Mountain and the Margaretville Telephone Company’s Relay For Life Team are joining forces to bring a fun event to benefit the American Cancer Society. The “Race for Fun” will be held Feb. 4, 2006 at 11am with all the proceeds going to the MTC Relay For Life Team. Skiers and snowboarders of all ages are welcome to race. Pre-registration is $20, which includes a daily lift ticket and the race fee. Pre-registration is limited to the first 200 applicants, which must be received by February 3rd. Day of race registration will be from 8 – 10 am in the Overlook Lodge. The awards ceremony will be at 3 pm. For more information or to register, contact MTC at 845-586-3311.

The Margaretville Telephone Company’s Relay For Life Team is a group of employees and community members that are committed to fund raising for The American Cancer Society. Joining the efforts of Delaware County last year at their 24-hour relay event, the MTC team closed the event being the top fund raiser out of 68 teams by raising over $8,500. This year they are dedicated to a full year of events, so look for them throughout the community and help support a cause that affects us all.

After the race, stay for the WDST Apres-Ski Concert Series, featuring Murali Coryell from 3-6 pm in the Overlook Lodge. The concert is free and there will be drink specials on Bud Light in the Overlook Lounge.
