Ragged Mountain announced that they are spending a $1 million in snowmaking improvements for the 2012/13 season. The funds will be used to purchase over 100 additional low-energy tower snow guns; of which half will be used for automated snowmaking on the Exhibition trail. This follows on the heels of last year’s automation of the Flying Yankee trail.

The additional firepower will also be provided by a new pump that will improve snowmaking output by 25%. The goal of Ragged with this investment is to open terrain faster and provide quicker access to the slopes.
