Ragged Mountain is busy finishing up snowmaking projects that include installing 100 new snow guns, substantially increasing our water delivery to our snowmaking pond, reconnecting pipe and guns on Birches and Easy Winder, and installing an automated snowmaking system on Flying Yankee. Ragged plans to start making snow early next week, weather permitting.

PICK UP YOUR SEASON PASS

Brenda and her team are now available to process your 2011-2012 season pass Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and weekends, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

If you bought a season pass before Columbus Day, you qualify for the Early-Bird perk of four-$39 vouchers and two free Learn to Ski or Ride programs. These products have been attached your personal profile in the new season pass system, so there is no need to keep track of additional vouchers or coupons. To redeem one of the $39 tickets or the Learn-To Ski or Ride programs, just visit the ticket window or Customer Service Desk on the day you would like to use the benefit, send us an email to authorize someone to use one of your vouchers, or purchase one or more to use as a gift.

There is still time to purchase a season pass before prices go up November 28. Frequent Skier Cards are also on sale now .

NEW RFID TICKETING SYSTEM

We have installed a new RFID (radio frequency ID) ticketing system. The new passes require no leash, lanyard or zip. You will simply keep your new pass in an empty pocket. When you enter the gate located at the lifts, the RFID antennas will read your card, and your picture will appear on a screen next to the gate. The gate will open and you’ll ski up to the lift. Throughout the winter you can track how many days you’ve been on snow, your vertical feet and more. As we swing into the season we plan to have some fun contests to see which one of you has skied the most runs, or the most feet, and more!

Stay tuned for Opening Day news and plans .
