Registration Now Open for Fourth Annual Mount Snow Snow Style Event, Feb. 3
MOUNT SNOW, Vermont — Early registration is now available online for Mount Snow’s Fourth Annual Snow Style event, held Saturday, February 3. The online registration link is at www.mountsnow.com/calendar.html.
This year’s event will be held in Un Blanco Gulch, the East’s original freestyle terrain park. Mount Snow’s award winning parks and pipes crew recently doubled the length of the park and installed all new features in time for the competition.
“Some of the best freeriders in the East look forward to the creativity our crew puts into these parks,” says Mount Snow Events Director, Greg Fisher. “We get professional artists to do a lot of the artwork, so the features really stand out.”
Professionals will compete for cash awards from a $3,000 purse, while amateur competitors will compete for prizes provided by event sponsors that include L.L. Bean, Rossignol, Armada, Giro helmets, and Smith goggles.
Pre-registration fees are $45 for pros and $35 for amateurs. Early registration closes Thursday, February 1 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. An additional $5 will be added to the fee for registering on the day of the event.
Freeskier magazine voted Mount Snow as having the top terrain park in the East in their November 2006 issue. They are holding a season-long interactive contest to name their next terrain park, which at 4,940 feet will be the longest park in the East. More than 1,500 individual submissions have been received thus far. Submissions can be made at www.mountsnow.com/namethispark.
Other events scheduled this season at Mount Snow terrain parks include the Bud Light Anti-Gravity Grail event series on February 17-19. Visit www.mountsnow.com/calendar.html for more details.
