LUDLOW, Vermont ??” Salomon Oasis, the ultimate hook-up, will make the third stop of its North American tour at Okemo Mountain Resort Dec. 17 and 18. The Salomon Oasis tour will offer a weekend full of free equipment demos, tons of giveaways and a terrain park jam session in one of Okemo’s five popular parks.

“You wouldn’t buy a car without taking it for a test-drive,” explains Salomon Marketing Director Bo Johnson. “Why buy a pair of skis or a board without taking them for a test-ride? That’s why we created Salomon Oasis. It’s a great opportunity to test our entire line-up free-of-charge and win a ton of free products from Salomon and Oasis partners. It’s the Ultimate Hook-Up.”

Visitors to Okemo on Dec. 17 and 18 can test ride Salomon’s ’06 line-up of skis and snowboards, and see how they perform on the hill. After the test ride, guests will receive a coupon for a $100 rebate on a pair of Salomon skis, or a $75 rebate on a snowboard, redeemable after they purchase new gear at the Okemo Snowsports Shop or their local ski shop. They can also pick up a Salomon Oasis Hook-Up Card and get a chance to win more than $100,000 in prizes like Salomon apparel or a free pair of skis or a snowboard. Okemo skiers and riders visiting the Oasis Village can also win one of six grand prizes including a custom snowmobile from Salomon Snowboards or one of five trips for two to Europe, courtesy of Ricola and the Swiss Tourism Commission. Prizes will be drawn each day of the tour at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Snowboard Magazine will “Get the Shot” in one of Okemo’s rider-renowned terrain parks. The best photographic shot of the day will be featured on the Snowboard Magazine at www.snowboard-mag.com and Salomon Oasis websites.

Okemo visitors can also check out the latest from Salomon Oasis’ cutting-edge partners like Saab, POWERade, Ricola, Men’s Journal, American Express and other companies that cater to snow riders worldwide. In addition to free samples and a complimentary Men’s Journal Magazine, Oasis visitors who reserve their demo with an American Express card will also receive a free pair of Salomon gloves, while supplies last.
