NEW HARTFORD, Connecticut ??” Ski Sundown is hosting a Brewers’ Fest at the mountain on Saturday, September 23, 2006 from 3pm to 7pm in celebration of Connecticut’s brewing community.

Connecticut is home to a talented group of brewers who supply a tremendous variety of quality brews all year long, many of them being world class beers that have won medals at some of the most prestigious festivals in the country.

Ski Sundown will provide the venue to showcase special brews or craft brews produced by 13 of the finest Connecticut breweries and brewpubs in the state. Those attending are: Bru Rm @ BAR, Cambridge House Brew Pub, City Steam Brewery Caf?В©, Cottrell Brewing Co., Farmington River Brewing Company, John Harvards’ Brew House, Race Book Brew Pub @ Mohegan Sun, New England Brewing Co., Olde Burnside Brewing Co., Southport Brewing Co., Thomas Hooker Brewery, Willimantic Brewing Co. & Main Street Caf?В© and The Better Hartford Beer Co.

This first-ever event for Ski Sundown will include live band music by The Substitutes, great food, vendors, including Eastern Mountain Sports, Main Stream Canoe & Kayak, Sporthouse, Ovation Guitar, The Magic Fluke, Quiet Sports, and Farmington Valley Visitors Association and, of course, great beer. Attendees must be 21 or older and a photo i.d is required. Tickets are available online at www.skisundown.com for $25 and at the door for $30. A portion of the proceeds will benefit STRIDE Therapeutic and Recreation/Ski Sundown Adaptive Program and the New Hartford SK8 Park.
