What’s more patriotic than leaving home to celebrate summer in the mountains of Vermont? It’s been an American tradition in Stowe for well over 150 years. Stowe’s 4-day long celebration kicks off with a day of activities and events for all ages, mountainside at Stowe Mountain Resort, this Friday July 1.

Friday’s fun begins with Summer Attractions; the Alpine Slide, Bungee Trampolines, Climbing Wall and Obstacle Course open on Spruce Peak at 10:30am. Then our first Friday Afternoon Farmers Market begins. With our acclaimed location for farm fresh foods and regional craftsmanship, we bring the best local artisans together on the Plaza at Spruce Peak to serve you their goods from 11am to 3pm. There will also be Live Music, free caricature drawing and balloon art, as well as garden container and pottery wheel demonstrations.
Also this Friday afternoon is an exclusive Mercedes Benz Test Drive Event from 2pm to 6pm. The Test Drive Event is open to the public on a first come-first serve biases, with all participants receiving two free rounds of golf at either Stowe Country Club or the new Stowe Mountain Golf Club, plus a Vermont gift basket.

The fun doesn’t end there. Stowe Mountain Resort is hosting a ‘Mountain BBQ’ in Spruce Camp starting at 5pm. The BBQ will include live music with the Funkleberries and Fireworks at dusk.
