STOWE, VT (September 8, 2014) Stowe Mountain Resort’s Summit Gondola re-opened for access up the state’s highest peak on September 13, just in time for the spectacular Vermont fall foliage season. The Gondola operates daily from 10:30am to 4:30pm through October 13, weather permitting.

Stowe’s classic high-speed Gondola to the Cliff House atop Mt. Mansfield now looks and feels brand new. In addition to completely renovated cabins, the top and bottom terminals have been restored. Additionally, the Gondola’s motor and other key mechanical components have been replaced to provide reliable, seamless and breathtaking transportation up one of the most scenic mountains in the East.

The comfortable, eight-passenger gondolas depart from the Gondola Barn, located ¼ mile north of the historic Mt. Mansfield Base Lodge. The Gondola summits at Stowe Mountain Resort’s momentous Cliff House restaurant, which is open daily for lunch. The Cliff House also provides guests with access to an expansive outdoor deck, picnic tables atop the Perry Merrill trail and various hiking options. For more information please visit www.stowe.com
