Sugarbush Resort Introduces Unique Children’s Program
WARREN, VT ??” The circus is coming to town; for the entire winter! Sugarbush Resort announced today that it has partnered with the hugely popular Circus Smirkus organization to bring live entertainment to kids every Saturday night during the 2004-05 season. Starting this Saturday December 11th and running throughout the winter, Circus Smirkus will have a featured performer on-hand at the Sugar Bear den in the Gatehouse Lodge to entertain kids ages 4-12. Programs will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and include a pizza dinner.
The Greensboro, Vermont-based organization is the only touring youth circus in the country and is dedicated to opening a path of adventure for children through the traditions of the circus. Kids attending Sugarbush’s Saturday night sessions will learn the science of falling down on purpose, practice the ancient art of Pie-in-the-Face, learn the latest juggling techniques, and live every child’s dream of discovering how to spin fine-china plates from skinny straws.
“This is excellent,” remarked Sugarbush’s Executive Vice President for Guest and Community Relations Adam Greshin after making the announcement. “We have been looking to give kids something different to do when they leave the hill; something out of the ordinary and completely interactive. The performers from Circus Smirkus provide a fun and unique off-hill experience that not only offers kids an incredibly entertaining time, but also teaches them new skills. They get the kids completely involved in the art.”
Parents looking to reserve a Saturday night slot should call 800-53-SUGAR or the Sugarbush Ski and Ride School at 802-583-6542. To learn more about Circus Smirkus checkout circussmirkus.org. For the latest event info visit sugarbush.com.
