NEWRY, Maine — Now every member of the family can enjoy a Sunday River season pass. New passes designed specifically for Fido are on sale at the season pass office at the South Ridge Base Lodge. The $20 passes are not valid for access to the ski slopes, but will provide all the benefits of dog identification including name and phone number along with a photo.

Sunday River is not responsible if Fido eats his or her season pass ID tag.

All proceeds will benefit the effort to upgrade Bethel’s Davis Park Playground. A new benefiting charity will be selected every six months. The doggie season pass ID tags will be available for purchase throughout the year.

“We’re thrilled at the idea,” said Joyce Pereira of the non-profit Davis Park Rehabilitation Committee. “Hopefully people will like the idea of getting their pooch a pass for a good cause. Maybe we’ll see them up and down Main Street here in Bethel all the way into Boston.”
