Highmount, NY – Top flight comedy returns to the Catskills when Carolines Presents Comedy in the Catskills, starring “Curb Your Enthusiasm’s” Susie Essman debuts at the Belleayre Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m.

Susie Essman has played the wild and wacky Susie Greene for all seven seasons of the critically acclaimed HBO comedy series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Her hilarious bouts of withering sarcasm and uninhibited insults have become her character’s trademark. She is also a featured headliner at Carolines Comedy club in NYC.

The Los Angeles Times calls Susie, “The most lyrical purveyor of profanity on television. She makes the entire cast of ‘The Sopranos’ look like rank amateurs. It really is a gift.”
Susie’s streetwise vernacular is perfectly suited for her life in Manhattan where she has been a veteran of the world of stand up comedy for 25 years. She has appeared in her own HBO comedy special, made numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The View, to name just a few of her many television credits.

Her appearance at Belleayre will be an “adults only” event, with the promise of a full evening of off-color, uproarious humor.

Net proceeds from this special comedy showcase will be donated to the Catskill Park Resource Foundation, an organization dedicated to regional promotion. Tickets are $66, $56, $46, $36 and $25 (lawn).

The Belleayre season wraps up in rock-n-roll style on Saturday September 1 at 8 p.m. “America’s No. 1 Tribute Show” The Music of Led Zeppelin – A Rock Symphony.
