The International Celtic Festival to Kick Off August 18 & 19 at Hunter Mountain
Fireworks display on Saturday and spectacular Mass March on Sunday
Hunter, NY – The annual International Celtic Festival is set to kick off August 18 & 19 at Hunter Mountain, featuring entertainment from the Emerald Isles, world class Irish-American bands, pipe & drum competitions and authentic Irish vendors including craft, traditional foods and more. Shilelagh Law will be headlining the festival with other acts to include Black 47, Andy Cooney, Emish, Jameson’s Revenge and more. A full list of live music is available at HunterMtn.com.
The festival grounds open at 11am on Saturday, with a fireworks display at 10pm. The festival opens on Sunday for a Catholic Mass with Father Frank Pizzarelli of Hope House Ministries and the Andy Cooney Band at 10:30am. The spine-tingling Mass March of hundreds of pipers and drummers marching down the mountain in unison will take place at 6:30pm. There will be numerous art, craft and food vendors located throughout the festival grounds spanning the indoor and outdoor areas of Hunter Mountain. The festival will take place rain or shine and includes a designated children’s entertainment area performing puppet shows, magic acts and more.
