Warm Fall Colors, Cold Craft Beer on Tap for 15th Annual Killington Brewfest Oct. 2

KILLINGTON, Vermont — With peak foliage as a backdrop, some of the best craft breweries from around New England will be pouring more than 60 flavors at the 15th Annual Killington Brewfest on Saturday, October 2 at the Snowshed Lodge.

Peak foliage throughout the Killington Region with maples, oaks and birches exploding into warm autumn colors will provide the perfect setting for Brewfest patrons to sample a variety of cold craft beers, including award-winning creations and the regions finest ales, porters, IPA’s, ciders and seasonal specialties.

“From the Olde Burnside Brewing Company’s Ten Penny Reserve, a silver-medal winner at the Great International Brewfest, to Dogfish Head’s Punkin’ Ale, the Long Trail’s Harvest Ale, McNeil’s Dark Angel, Trout River’s Knight Slayer and Otter Creek’s Alpine Black IPA, we’ll have an incredible selection for sampling at this year’s event,” said Matt Porter, Killington Resort’s events manager and passionate beer connoisseur.

Brewfest tickets are $25 and include a souvenir tasting glass, 12 beer sampling tickets and live entertainment, featuring Tommy Lee Thomas and Killington’s own Joey Leone performing classic rock hits in the Snowshed Resort Center. Additional beer tickets will be available for $1 each. The Snowshed Food Court will be open serving an array of delicious seasonal fare from the grill as well as pizza from our stone oven. Ana’s Empanadas will be serving their all-natural, local, fresh, hand made and oven-baked South American stuffed pastries.

New this year on Friday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m. is the Vermont Brewmaster VIP Dinner at the Wobbly Barn, offering a five-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Justin Blais and paired with Vermont brews from Long Trail Brewing Co., Harpoon Brewery, Magic Hat Brewing and Otter Creek Brewing. A limited number of tickets are available for $79 and includes the Vermont Brewmaster VIP Dinner and Brewfest admission.

Brewfest lodging packages are available, starting at just $54 per person and including Brewfest tickets. A limited number of Brewfest tickets will be available at the door beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Snowshed Lodge.

The K-1 Gondola will be open Brewfest weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. offering scenic gondola rides for guests to view foliage in the heart of the Green Mountains, plus gondola-served hiking and mountain biking.
