Whiteface Offering a Spring Thing Ticket, Daylight Skiing Time and More

WILMINGTON, New York — Whiteface received over 20-inches of snow this past weekend to increase the season’s snowfall to 200-inches, compared to past seasons’ average of 168-inches, and in celebration of the event announced Monday many specials for the remainder of the 2006-07 ski and ride season.

The Whiteface Spring Thing Ticket allows skiers and riders unlimited Spring skiing and riding beginning March 19 for just $99 for adults (20-64 years old), $79 for teens (13-19) and seniors (65-69) and $49 for juniors (7-12). Children 6 and under and adults 70 and over still get to ski and ride for free!

Daylight Skiing Time begins on Friday, March 23. Every Friday and Saturday, the Cloudsplitter gondola will remain open until 4:30 pm, giving skiers and riders and extra 45 minutes of lift service.

The Snowsports School is offering 50% off the Burton Snowboard Learn to Ride and Learn to Ski Parallel from the Start?„? programs. For only $44.50, people may sign up for either program and receive a lift ticket, lesson and rentals. These one-day program specials are offered through the remainder of the Spring.

The Junior Adventure program for kids ages 7-12 and the Play-n-Ski program for children ages 4-6 as well as the Bear’s Den Nursery at Kids Kampus are also being offered half-off. For example, the half-day Bear’s Den Nursery program is available for $17.50 and the full-day Junior Adventure and Play-n-Ski programs are only $47.50.

Upcoming events at Whiteface include the rescheduled March 24 St. Patty’s Day Pipe and Slopestyle with featured sponsor Maui North, Snoe.down ’07 Music Festival March 24-25, the Apple Butter Open Moguls on March 31, the annual Pond Skimming competition April 7, and Easter service, brunch and egg hunt on April 8. And don’t forget that Coca-Cola Wednesdays and TGIF@W continue through the end of the season.

Be on the lookout for the Whiteface only non-holiday season pass for the 2007-08 season, which will go on sale May 1.
