WILMINGTON, New York ??” The Whiteface Ski Patrol will conduct a pair of training sessions for patrolmen during the month of March.

On Sunday, March 5, Advanced Toboggan Rescue will emphasize rescue efforts on the steeps and in the moguls. Whiteface patrolman Rick Wood will run the training session which begins at 9 AM.

An advanced avalanche course will take place in the Slides March 23-26. This will feature two days in the classroom and two days on the mountain. Whiteface has become the eastern headquarters for this intensive training.

Both sessions are sanctioned by the National Ski Patrol.
