Whiteface turns 50 on Friday, Jan. 25

WILMINGTON, New York — The Whiteface Ski Center, managed by the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), will celebrate its first 50 years of activity this weekend with specially-priced lift tickets and the Ski Sweater Ball.

On Friday, Jan. 25, Whiteface will turn 50. Skiers and riders can take advantage of outstanding snow conditions from summit to base, all day long, for just $30. This offer cannot be coupled with other promotions.

Then on Saturday, Jan. 26, the gala event of the winter will take place when Whiteface presents the Ski Sweater Ball. Festivities begin at 7 pm, and include live music, exquisite dining presented by Centerplate, vintage film, Northern Lights, night skiing and riding on several base area trails, the crowning of the King and Queen of winter and more.

Tickets for the Ski Sweater Ball are $85 per person, and can be purchased at the ORDA Store on Main Street in Lake Placid, the Olympic Center Box Office and Whiteface.
