The winner of the competition at Smugglers’ will compete in the national finals at Killington, Vermont, on March 3-5, 2006.<\/p>\n
“Last year’s participants were really excited to compete, and we hope that their positive experience will help broaden the event to include more skiers and riders at Smugglers’,” said Peter Ingvoldstad, director of Smugglers’ ski school, Snow Sport University. He added, “The value of this competition is that the kids not only are showcasing their considerable skills on the snow, they are also demonstrating how well rounded they are with their essay and interaction with the judges. The competition rewards good human beings, not just good skiers and riders.”<\/p>\n
