NORTH CREEK, New York ??” The “Gore Mountain Gives” annual food drive raised 2,463 pounds of food for the Johnsburg Food Pantry this season. The promotion offered early season skiers $10 off their lift ticket cost when they contributed a non-perishable food item at the window. 1,536 skiers and riders donated to the cause.

Johnsburg Food Pantry Director Thersa Dunkley said the Gore drive was “A big help. Our shelves are full and it’s wonderful.” Dunkley said that food has been used to put together Christmas boxes for local families, as well as emergency boxes for those who suddenly find themselves in need.

“We thank all of our guests who helped make this effort so successful,” said Mike Pratt, Gore Mountain General Manager.
