{"id":1276,"date":"2006-01-03T12:12:58","date_gmt":"2006-01-03T17:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/wordpress90\/?p=1276"},"modified":"2018-12-06T01:21:46","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T06:21:46","slug":"pats-peak-ski-area-participates-in-national-safety-awareness-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alpinezone.com\/news-and-featured-articles\/pats-peak-ski-area-participates-in-national-safety-awareness-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Pats Peak Ski Area Participates in National Safety Awareness Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HENNIKER, New Hampshire ??\u0432\u0402\u045c Pats Peak, New Hampshire&#8217;s premier family snowsports destination, is pleased to participate in the National Ski Areas Association&#8217;s (NSAA) seventh annual National Safety Awareness Week, part of the Heads Up Safety Initiative and sponsored by Mountain Dew, January 14-20, 2006.<\/p>\n<p>National Safety Awareness Week campaign was created in 1999 as an opportunity for skier\/riders to gain a better understanding of the &#8220;Your Responsibility Code&#8221;, the seven rules of the slopes.<\/p>\n<p>Pats Peak National Safety Awareness Week Activities Include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kids&#8217; Safety Poster Contest with designs based on &#8220;Your Responsibility Code&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Kids&#8217; Safety Posters will be hung in the base lodge and a winner will be chosen and submitted to NSAA for the national contest.<\/li>\n<li>Pats Peak Fun Squad will conduct quizzes with kids based on &#8220;Your Responsibility Code&#8221;. Correct answers will receive a complimentary Hot Chocolate.<\/li>\n<li>Pats Peak Fun Squad will target safety messages in their kids&#8217; activities.<\/li>\n<li>A safety message will be posted on the Pats Peak daily Snow Reports throughout the week.<\/li>\n<li>For more information on National Safety Awareness Week at Pats Peak, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patspeak.com\/safetyweek.htm\">www.patspeak.com\/safetyweek.htm<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other NSAA safety programs include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lidsonkids.org\">www.lidsonkids.org<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freestyleterrain.com\">www.freestyleterrain.com<\/a>.
