NEWRY, Maine ??\u0432\u0402\u045c Actor and Comedian Lenny Clarke will hit the trails of Sunday River on the weekend of Jan. 27-28 hosting his annual Celebrity Ski Classic benefit for The Genesis Fund, an organization that assists New England area children in need of specialized treatment and medical care. <\/p>\n

The Lenny Clarke Celebrity Ski Classic raises about $35,000 on average for The Genesis Fund every year. Funds raised from contributions, a silent live auction and raffles all goes towards the cause.<\/p>\n

Guests are invited to participate in the fundraiser by spending the weekend at Sunday River Ski Resort enjoying three days of skiing, two nights lodging, meals and scheduled activities. Founded in 1982 by Murray Feingold MD, The Genesis Fund has raised over 20 million dollars since its inception. Money raised by The Genesis Fund helps sponsor groups like The National Birth Defects Center, The Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine, Therapy and Performing Arts and various other satellite clinics and programs throughout New England.<\/p>\n

Clarke was born, bred and educated in New England. He began his career on the stand-up circuit in Boston and later moved on to act in television and film.
