STOWE, Vermont — Stowe Mountain Resort, in conjunction with Meathead Films, announces the release of the first ever Stowe Team DVD, entitled “Stowked.” The premier of Stowked is happening at the Rusty Nail nightclub in Stowe, Vermont on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30pm. The event is open to all ages and is taking place during the 5th Annual Korn Winter Sports Foundation benefit and party.<\/p>\n

Stowked is a 23 minute film about Stowe’s youth culture, terrain parks, halfpipe and mountain terrain. The short film features the Stowe Team, a talented group of skiers and snowboarders between the ages of ten and seventeen. Stowked was shot and edited by Meathead Films throughout the past year.<\/p>\n

“Stowked is a humorous, fun and youthful perspective of life on the mountain, and the season of a competitive ski and ride team,” said Jeff Wise, Stowe’s communications director and team organizer.<\/p>\n

Meathead Films is dedicated to creating innovative ski movies exclusively in the Northeast. Based in Burlington, VT, the action sports capital of Eastern North America, Meathead Films is bringing skiing to a level never-before-seen in the region. Their movies are helping audiences re-imagine the possibilities that exisist in the mountains of the Northeastern United States and Canada. The athletes they work with are pushing the limits of the sport in backcountry, park and urban terrain.
