FRANCONIA NOTCH, New Hampshire — Cannon Mountain will kick off the 2006-2007 season on Friday, December 8, 2006, with free skiing\/riding. <\/p>\n
Cannon Mountain will open with intermediate and beginner trails for skiing and snowboarding with two lifts operating. The Cannon Mountain Snowsports School will offer limited instruction, and childcare will be available at Brookside Learning Center. The slopeside High Performance Tuning Center and the Cannon Mountain Ski Shop will be open, as well as all other services. <\/p>\n
Cannon Mountain will also offer a reduced rate for skiing\/riding this weekend. Lift tickets for Saturday (12\/9) and Sunday (12\/10) will be available for $25 a day. <\/p>\n
Season passes may still be purchased at the Sales Office in the Peabody Base Lodge and online at www.cannonmt.com<\/a>. Season passes are a smart buy for anyone planning on skiing or snowboarding more than 10-12 days of the season. Other great savings include the Bold & Beautiful Midweek Pass for $249, offered with Bretton Woods. The College Pass is just $225 for the season, good for skiing\/riding at Cannon Mountain, Mt. Sunapee Resort, and Gunstock. And, New Hampshire teachers can save with an Educator’s Pass for $399 that may also be used at Gunstock. Gift certificates are available for purchase and make great holiday presents.
