JAY/BOLTON/WAITSFIELD, Vermont — As if carrying two majors weren’t enough, college students can now show off their smarts on more classic terrain with New England’s newest college season pass, the Triple Major.

Added to the course schedule for the 2007-2008 season is Mad River Glen, which teams up with Double Major upper classmen Jay Peak Resort and Bolton Valley Resort, to offer unlimited access to all three resorts, all winter, for only $269. There are no restrictions at any of the resorts, and the pass includes night skiing and riding at Bolton Valley Resort until 9pm. The pass price increases to $329 after Nov. 5.

“We had so much success with the Double Major pass last season because it was such a simple pass to understand,” said Steve Wright, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Jay Peak. “Two resorts, one close by with great night skiing and riding for days when classes get in the way, and the other less than 90 minutes away with the most snow anywhere. Add to the mix Mad River Glen with its legendary steeps, glade skiing and authentic tone, and college students have access to the best deal in eastern skiing.”

While the pass itself is the real story, the process of three different resorts coming together to offer affordable access to unmatched terrain also bears mentioning, “Great mountains came together to create a program for college students to get out and enjoy access to great terrain at the best mountains in Vermont” said Jeanne-Marie Gand, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Communications at Bolton Valley Resort. “We share so much in terms of philosophy and approach that the Triple Major came together quickly.”

“We feel honored to be teaming up with these two great resorts this season,” said Eric Friedman, Mad River Glen’s Marketing Director. “We’re three different mountains but we understand that college students are looking for great snow, terrain and value. This pass offers everything they’re looking for at a rate that makes it very easy for them to commit.”

Students may purchase their pass at any of the three resorts or by ordering online at jaypeakresort.com, boltonvalley.com or madriverglen.com. College students must show valid photo ID and valid proof of enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits to be considered full time.
