<\/a>May 14th, 2014 (Warren, Vt) \u2014 Employees of Sugarbush Resort were in Burlington recently being recognized by the Vermont Governor\u2019s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports for the company\u2019s workplace wellness initiatives. One of 91 businesses considered for this award, Sugarbush touted its wellness program and initiatives, such as employee fitness classes, free on-site biometric screenings, an annual wellness fair and other onsite efforts to promote physical fitness and a healthy work-life balance.<\/span><\/p>\nSugarbush\u2019s Employee Services team received recognition from Governor Peter Shumlin, state health commissioner Harry Chen, and Janet Franz, chair of the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.<\/p>\n
“Vermont employers have come to understand that physically fit workers are more productive and invested in their careers. Business leaders see the benefits of worksite wellness programs to their bottom line,” said Janet Franz, chair of the Governor’s Council.<\/p>\n
