STOWE, VT – The Hot Club of San Francisco is appearing at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center on Thursday, July 21 at 7:30pm. Reserved Seating is available at www.sprucepeakarts.org<\/a> . Orchestra\/Mezzanine – $35 \/ Boxes-Left and Right – $28.<\/p>\n

The band celebrates the gypsy jazz music of guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli and the original Hot Club de France. With the all-string instrumentation (violin, bass and guitars) of the original Hot Club, this versatile and accomplished ensemble takes listeners back in time to the 1930’s, to the smoky jazz clubs of Paris, and the gypsy caravans of Europe’s countryside. The Hot Club performs many of the original works by Reinhardt and Grappelli and incorporates original works by guitarist Paul Mehling and violinist Evan Price. Other composers such as Claude Debussy and “Jelly Roll” Morton make appearances as well. An evening with The Hot Club of San Francisco offers a night of unforgettable music.
