Bartlett, NH – Attitash Mountain Resort will host the 14th annual two-day Oktoberfest on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 at its Bear Peak base area. With roots that date back to the well-known German festival, the Oktoberfest weekend will feature live Bavarian music from the world renowned King Ludwig’s Band, dancing, kids’ activities, games, authentic German food with the best of the “wursts” and, of course, the Biergarten tent featuring both local brewers and others from around the region. This year’s participating brewers, all competing for the people’s favorite annual award, will feature 9 brewers including: Long Trail Brewing, Moat Mountain Brewing Co., Narragansett, Samuel Adams, Shipyard Brewing Co., Tuckerman Brewing Co., White Mountain Distributors featuring Bud & Bud Light, Woodchuck Cider, and Woodstock Inn Brewery.<\/p>\n

Fun, fall activities and attractions at Oktoberfest will include both the annual favorite “Keg Toss” and “Stein Holding” contests. A climbing wall, EuroBungy trampoline jump, and the Kinderplatz games and activities area for children will also be located within the outdoor festival area. Hours for Oktoberfest will be Saturday, October 8, noon – 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 9, noon – 5 p.m. The entrance fee to attend Oktoberfest, food or beverage not included, is $10 (age 21+, positive ID required), $5 (ages 6-20), and children under age 6 are free. During the event hours in the Bear Peak base lodge, Attitash staff will be available to process season pass purchases before the current lowest-price deadline of Monday, October 10 and to also print 2011\/2012 passes for those who have already purchased and want to pick up (no entrance fee required to purchase or pick up a 2011\/12 season pass).
