NORTH CONWAY, NH – Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, NH will open for top to bottom skiing and riding this weekend, Sat. Nov. 26 and Sun. Nov. 27th from 9am – 4pm. Thanks to Wednesday’s snowfall of 12″, the resort was able to add snowmaking on top of it to open with 7 trails and 2 lifts. The resort is also opening its popular snow tubing park for the weekend as well.

Cranmore will operate its Skimobile Express Quad to the summit accessing advanced beginner terrain on Easy Street. It will also run the the South Quad chair servicing advanced beginner terrain. Thanksgiving weekend lift ticket rates are $39 for adults, $29 for teens and $19 for youth.

The Mountain Coaster and Giant Swing will operate Fri. Nov. 25 – Sun. Nov. 27 from 9am – 4pm. The Indoor Adventure Zone, with a bouncy house, Spider Mountain Climb and Bungy Trampoline, opens the same dates from 10am – 4pm. The event will feature an overview by Cranmore president Ben Wilcox on the highlights of the resort’s on-going $7 million renaissance.

The Homecoming Event will also feature a special silent auction of recently retired trail signs, with proceeds going to the Jimmy Mersereau Scholarship Fund. The Fund was founded in the wake of the passing of Cranmore’s long time mountain operations director Jimmy Mersereau in Dec. 2009, and is in support of students interested in ski area operations as a career. Last year the trail sign auction raised thousands of dollars for the scholarship fund as Cranmore fans snapped up their favorite trail signs. This year’s auction includes signs for popular trails including the South Slope and Ledges. The event is taking place at the Artist Falls Deli, now offering visitors tasty favorites including pizza, beer, wine, snacks and soda in a venue handy to the Mountain Adventure Park.

Cranmore will operate weekends only through the middle of December. For more information, contact Cranmore at 603-356-5544 or visit www.cranmore.com .
