The Holidays are fast approaching, and we here at Bromley can think of no better gift for our skiers and riders than great conditions. That’s why we’ve been working overtime to get the mountain in the best possible shape for the Holiday Week. Our arsenal of snow guns has been firing at full capacity, and the result is a trail count that is expanding almost daily! We fully expect to open 20+ trails over the vacation period with a focus on learning terrain. This is of course weather dependent, but things look good.

Bromley has always been a favorite for those families looking for an outstanding experience for their children and this Holiday vacation will be no different. Our snowmaking crews have made our easier slopes a priority and we’ll be able to offer 9 kid-friendly trails with over 40 acres of our best beginner terrain over the vacation week.

Not to be left out, we’ve found tons of time to focus on our intermediate and advanced terrain too. Favorites like Upper and Lower Twister will offer top-to-bottom cruising, West Meadow has coverage from boundary-to-boundary and should really let you get those GS turns going, and Corkscrew is always great for those looking for some steeps. We’ve also got some terrain park features set up for those of you looking for some rails and boxes, and we plan to have the Exhibition Park open for the season in the second-half of the vacation week. We’ll have something to keep every member of the family happy, from advanced to beginner, on over 60 acres of skiable terrain.

We’ve absolutely buried our Learning Area in snow as we prepare to launch our new KidsRule Mountain Camp this week. Bromley plunked close to $600,000 into a brand new, 3,000 square foot kids’ facility and gave the Learning Area a top-to-bottom makeover. We’ve added a “Kids’ Cabin” for bathroom breaks and warming-up, and installed a new, fully enclosed carpet lift. KidsRule was designed in collaboration with the directors of the ski and snowboard schools at our sister resorts Jiminy Peak and Cranmore Mountain , and every effort was put into making KidsRule the best in the business when it comes to children’s instruction. We’ve combined the best practices of more than 120 years of teaching experience to offer a new approach to teaching kids aged 4-14 skiing and snowboarding. We’ve got a great vacation week ahead of us with tons of new terrain and outstanding snow. We’d like to wish you and your family a happy holiday, and we’re excited to host you at Vermont’s Sun Mountain. See you soon.
