Friday Night the Snow Guns Will be back in Action

TANNERSVILLE, PA – Who says winter is over, or better yet, it never arrived- Bill Toye, Vice President of Mountain Operations, also known as the snow god, had a conference call this morning with Punxsutawney Phil and Mother Nature and they agreed a little more winter is a good thing. So, Bill has called the crew and they will be here Friday night to make snow and prepare the mountain for an awesome weekend.

The snow making will commence Friday evening to freshen the guests’ favorites, including Margie’s Delight, Honeymoon Lane and several other trails.

“I’ve talked to guests and season passholders that have been here skiing and boarding the past week, and they say the conditions are unbelievable. Our snowmaking and grooming teams are once again, doing a top notch job!,” said Arthur Berry III, president and chief executive officer, Camelback Mountain Resort. Berry continued, “It might not look like winter in your neighborhood, but there is a lot of winter left at Camelback.”

SnowEast Magazine Readers’ Survey voted Camelback Mountain Resort the favorite resort in Pennsylvania. There are 34 trails, ranging from beginners to double black diamonds with 100% of the trails open for night skiing. Camelback is continuing on the cutting edge by adding a 50′ x 50′ airbag that tops out at 12 feet tall….just like stunt persons use in Hollywood films. Guests of all abilities can ski and board downhill, hit a jump and try any trick seen at the X Games and land safely and softly!

Always true to its name and mission, Camelback Mountain Resort, ensures action, adventure and excitement 365 days a year.
